The difference between acrylic and plastic

The main difference between acrylic and plastic is that they are materials composed of different substances:

1. Acrylic is plexiglass. Acrylic sheet can be divided into casting type and extrusion type according to the production process. The performance of the casting type is better than that of the extrusion type, and the price is more expensive. The casting type is mainly used for carving , Decoration, handicraft production, extrusion type is usually used for the production of advertising signs, light boxes, etc.

2. Plastic is a high molecular compound polymerized by addition polymerization or polycondensation reaction with monomer as raw material. It is commonly known as plastic or resin. The composition and shape can be changed freely. It is composed of synthetic resin and filler, plasticizer, stabilizer, It is composed of additives such as lubricants and pigments. The main component of plastic is resin. The term resin was originally named for the lipids secreted by plants and animals, such as rosin, shellac, etc. Resin refers to a polymer compound that has not been mixed with various additives. The resin accounts for about 40%-100% of the total weight of the plastic. The basic properties of plastics are mainly determined by the nature of the resin, but additives also play an important role. Some plastics are basically composed of synthetic resins, with no or little additives, such as plexiglass and polystyrene.
