1. The problem of adhesion of dust

If you use a dry cloth to wipe the surface of acrylic resin strongly, it will tend to be charged by friction, and it will easily adhere to free dust in the air and cause scars. Please be careful. It is recommended that you use a soft cloth dipped in antistatic agent or methanol containing antistatic agent, and wipe gently.

2. The problem of linear expansion

Acrylic resin, like many plastics, has a linear expansion rate, and the expansion and contraction caused by temperature changes must be considered when using it. It is hoped that it can be stored and processed (used) under constant conditions. If there is a temperature difference, for example, under the condition of a temperature difference of 2 (TC), the length of each lm is about 1.4mm expansion and contraction.

3. Attention to temperature:

The long-term use temperature of PMMA board is 80°C, and it will deform under high temperature. Therefore, keep the storage temperature at least below 50°C

4. Pay attention to damage and scratches

The surface hardness of acrylic resin is roughly the same as that of aluminum. Although it belongs to the harder type of plastics, it is necessary to pay attention to scratches when using it. In order to protect the surface, protective paper is pasted on the acrylic resin. During use, in order to prevent scratches and adhesion of dust, it is recommended that you use the protective paper as much as possible, and then peel it off at the end. In addition, when working, please wear protective equipment, gloves, etc., as you protect your hands while also protecting the board. When removing dirt on the surface of the board, please use a soft cloth dampened with water or neutral detergent to clean it.

5. The problem of burning

Although acrylic resin is not a flammable hazardous material, it will catch fire and burn if it comes in contact with flames.

6. The problem of humidity

Acrylic resin also expands and contracts due to humidity. Its response speed is not as fast as temperature changes, so you must pay attention to it when using it. If the board absorbs water unevenly, the degree of extension varies with each part of the board, and sometimes warping occurs.

7. Problems with solvents

Acrylic resin will crack on the surface due to the corrosion of paint and solvent. Therefore, do not store it in a place with solvent vapor such as a paint storage room or a spraying room. Please use it in a clean place.

8. Questions about the storage method during storage

There are two methods for placing acrylic resin horizontally and vertically, each with its own advantages. Incorrect storage methods can cause warping. The following storage methods are recommended as solutions. (a): Tilt the board by 10° when it is placed upright, and make the board close tightly. In this case, the total plate thickness should be within 30cm.
